I Brought 9 People Abroad, Only Yeboah Refused to Pay Back” – Aunty Responds to Emmanuel Yeboah
Recently, Emmanuel Yeboah appeared on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide show with DJ Nyaami, where he claimed that an “aunty” brought eight of them to the UK but the treatment he received was unfair. He alleged that life abroad under her guidance was extremely difficult.
Now, the woman who sponsored him abroad has responded, setting the record straight.
According to her, she has helped nine different people travel abroad since 2002, when her husband first brought her to the UK. Out of the nine, only two failed to pay her back—and Emmanuel Yeboah is the only one who returned to Ghana without fulfilling his obligations.
“We spent £9,000 on him, but he only paid back £700. When it was time for him to renew his documents, he needed £7,000, but instead of working hard, he started making excuses. We even enrolled him in training, but two days before starting work, he said he couldn’t do care jobs and wanted a teaching job instead,” she revealed.
She added that Yeboah spread false stories about her to family members, causing friction, but the truth eventually came out. Sadly, the situation even affected his family in Ghana, as his father collapsed after hearing the news.
The aunty stressed that she takes loans to sponsor people abroad, and repayment is done in installments.
“If you take government loans abroad, you pay them back in installments. I also took money from others, including Nigerians, to help him. Now I am in debt because of him. I will make sure I get my money back,” she insisted.
She further noted that the other people she sponsored are still abroad, working and paying back their debts responsibly.
“I brought nine people. Only Yeboah and one other person refused to pay me back. The rest are doing well. I will go to Ghana and involve the police to retrieve my money. If I have to, I will get him arrested,” she warned.
Her response comes after Yeboah’s claims stirred controversy, leaving many divided. She insists her only intention was to help, but she cannot continue to allow people to exploit her sacrifices.
