US-based Ghanaian Eric Owusu has disclosed that he sold one of his two houses in South Africa and moved to America for a better life.

In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Eric noted that he had to leave behind his South African wife and child for a better life in the US despite his successes in South Africa.

According to Eric, he did not migrate to hustle. Eric said, “South Africa is a scary place for foreigners. It’s tough to build yourself up there. That country is okay for the citizens but not for foreigners. Someone could just kill you off indiscriminately. For me, I didn’t come here to hustle because I had about $100,000 in my account. ”

Eric noted that he was successful in South Africa, but he could not stay.

“I owned and ran four salons in Pietermaritzburg with 30 workers.  I made about $4000 from the salons weekly. It’s a profitable business in South Africa, and my wife was also a banker.

I spoke to my wife about travelling, but she didn’t want to move. So we sold one of our houses, and I gave her two of the salons,” he said on DJ Nyaami.

Mr Owusu and his South African wife eventually got a divorce. He is currently married to a Black American.
