Ghanaian based in the UK Nana Danquah shared that his accomplishments would not have been possible without his travels abroad.
Speaking with DJ Nyaami on SVTV AFRICA, Nana Danquah indicated that he lived a relatively comfortable life in Ghana because his parents lived abroad and catered to most of his needs.
“I’d have still been fooling around if I stayed in Ghana. I would not have made it here if I came with the mentality I had and the womanising habit while in Ghana. I realised that all those things were needless.
The cost of cement and iron rods in Ghana has gone up. No one will respect you if you return to Ghana and sleep in a family house. You need to secure a future if you get a chance to come here and forget about that lifestyle,” he said.
Nana Danquah has been living in the UK for 14 years and shares some highlights of his time there. He advised the youth who wish to travel abroad to use the right channels instead of paying huge sums to travel agents.
Speaking on the cost of living in the UK, Nana Danquah mentioned that it has gone, however, rent and utility are less expensive outside London. He encouraged others to move from London if they cannot keep up with the high cost of living in London.
