UK-based Ghanaian Winifred Mills revealed that her ex-husband and father of her three kids only married her for a chance to travel abroad.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Winifred disclosed that they had had no discussions about marriage until he heard she was travelling to the UK. According to Winifred, that intention eventually destroyed their relationship.
“I left our kids with his mother and left the country. While in the UK, he proposed, and I returned for the traditional marriage. I thank God I didn’t pay for the wedding. Otherwise, I’d have asked for my money back after the divorce.
After the wedding, I came back to the UK. Soon after, he began whining about coming here. I had filed for him once, but it didn’t work, so we had to wait a while. My ex-husband even asked me to give him money to pay a connection man instead,” she narrated.
Meanwhile, Winifred’s ex-husband had promised his side chick that he would help her travel after he got to the UK. According to Miss Mills, a male friend told her what he had planned through a phone call.
“My father paid for my three kids to join me in the UK, but my ex-husband asked me to choose between marriage and the UK. He gave me two options; divorcing me or moving back with the kids. He blatantly said he never loved me. I begged him, but he didn’t budge. So we broke up,” Winifred added.
