Saudi-Arabia-based Ghanaian Paul Dramani revealed that he earns GHS6000 in Saudi Arabia, but he will gladly accept a job in Ghana for a lower wage.
In an interview on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Paul revealed that he took out a loan of about GHS7000 to travel to Saudi Arabia. Paul indicated that his salary was the same as his salary in Ghana.
According to Paul, he had to work overtime for about 15 hours to make enough money. He indicated that he regretted his decision at that moment.
“I did full time with extra hours. I was on my feet for 15 hours. I regretted leaving my job as a teacher, but I was already here. I want to come home after my contract ends, but I quit my job, and I’m still paying off the debt,“ he told DJ Nyaami.
Paul, however, added that if he makes GHS3000 as a teacher in Ghana because “you will only appreciate that amount after you travel. You can only make more money if you work hard jobs. I’d have made something out of my GHS1800 salary if I had this experience I have now.”
