A young lady (name withheld) shared a traumatising experience where a supposedly ‘big man’ raped her and paid her Ghs60,000 to forget the case.
In a chat with DJ Nyaami on Ahintasem, the young lady revealed that she had visited a lounge with the supposed ‘big man’ she had known for years and had gotten drunk. According to her, he usually drops her off at her house after their usual drink ups but this time, she woke up in his room naked.
“This man has known me and my sister for about a decade and drops me off almost every time we hang out. I told him he took advantage of a drunk girl and he couldn’t say anything. He told me he had forgotten my house and I slept when I got into his car.
I reported the case to the police but he changed his statement and lied that I seduced him when we got to his house. Fortunately, I recorded our conversation and gave it to the officers.”
The young lady mentioned that his friends threatened her and decided to settle it out of court. She received Ghs60,000 compensation from the ‘big man’ who apologised to her but regretted it later.
Moreover, she had a medical exam as part of the case and found out she was pregnant with her ex-boyfriend’s child. However, the baby’s father refused to accept the child when he heard the story and had her abort the pregnancy.
“I became depressed and had to see a psychologist. I’ve quit drinking and I’ve lost my boyfriend too. I regret it so much,” she shared.
