UK-based Ghanaian Alex Takyi disclosed that his ex couldn’t wait three years while he was abroad preparing to come for her.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Mr Takyi mentioned that it was a traumatising episode because he had never experienced a broken heart.
According to Alex, he found out his ex-fiancée was cheating on him through a friend and that she was already pregnant for him.
“I didn’t spend more than three years before my first visit to Ghana. She couldn’t wait for me. In those three years, I tried to bring her twice but failed. A friend told me she was with another man, but I didn’t take it seriously until she gave me the boyfriend’s contact.
I used to send her £100 monthly. I was broken-hearted. Her boyfriend confirmed it to me himself. My fiancée told him we were dating, but I didn’t have documents and didn’t take of her. In the end, I found out she was pregnant,” Alex recounted.
Mr Takyi added that he lost trust in people after that heartbreaking moment. He advised other young men to be cautious of their partners in Ghana.
