Germany-based Ghanaian Teddy Obah revealed that his out-of-wedlock 23-year-old son was the cause of his divorce from his ex-wife.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Teddy disclosed that after settling in Germany with his (ex) wife, he decided to bring his first child from Ghana to Europe for a better life, a child he had out of marriage. However, his son ruined his marriage within six months. Teddy said his son was disobedient and refused to grow out of it despite his advice.
“My son denied it whenever there was a misunderstanding. I lived with my ex-wife and her kids and knew how we lived before his arrival. When there’s a misunderstanding, I can’t choose to defend one and leave the other.
One time, my son did something, and I asked him to apologise, but he never did. I beat him he still refused to apologise. So my wife asked me to choose between her and my son. That was the end of my marriage,” he narrated.
Teddy mentioned that his relationship with his son got worse after the divorce. According to Teddy, he often grounded him for his wrongdoings, but he called the cops on his father and had the case processed to court for beating him up. Eventually, the German child services took him out of the house to live by himself.
