Germany-based Ghanaian Evangelist Bright Dartey stated that polygamous marriage is the best because, according to him, it is more peaceful.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Evangelist Bright noted that if Christianity allowed polygamy, many marriages would not have broken. There would have been peace in most relationships.
He referenced the Bible and said, “(polygamy) is the best. Men who married multiple women had peace in their marriage, unlike those of us who married one.
Some time ago, my wife denied me sex, and it was during fasting. You know men can’t stay without sex for long, but women can go two years without it. Imagine if we (pastors) had three wives, they would have served us food while lying on the floor.”
Evangelist Dartey stated clearly that he is not advising Christian men to adopt polygamy. However, it would have been a better choice. He believes it would promote competition among the wives.
“When competition sets in, the wives will be good to the husband,” he added.
