Ambassador Gladys Binney Highlights Purpose of Global Peace Ambassador Awards; SVTV Africa Foundation Honoured
Ambassador Gladys Binney, CEO of the Global Peace Ambassador Awards and Conference, has emphasized the organisation’s commitment to recognising and supporting NGOs whose work impacts society beyond the efforts of government. Speaking in an interview with Dj Nyaami onSVTVAfrica’sDailyHustleWorldwideshow, she explained that the awards aim to celebrate individuals and institutions whose humanitarian work contributes to peace, development, and social support.
According to her, the SVTV Africa Foundation caught the attention of the board because of the visible impact of its charitable projects. She noted that the foundation’s consistency in helping the needy touched many observers, prompting its nomination and recognition.
Ambassador Binney also revealed that the board intends to honour DJ Nyaami, host of SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide, for his dedication to amplifying the voices of ordinary people and supporting humanitarian causes.
Awards Based on Merit — Not Voting or Backdoor Deal
Ambassador Binney stressed that the Global Peace Ambassador Awards are not determined by votes or informal negotiations.
“We reward by merit. We don’t do backdoor deals. If you don’t qualify for a category, you simply won’t be selected,” she stated.
The awards have 150 nominees, out of which 30 winners will be chosen strictly based on their contributions to society. She added that the intention is to honour dignified NGOs and individuals whose work genuinely promotes peace and development.
