Businesswoman Sarah Arthur has disclosed that her ex-husband bluntly told her that he was not ready for marriage and that he only married her for the money.

Speaking in SVTV Africa, Sarah mentioned that she saw red flags in their two-year relationship before marriage, but she was blinded by love. Moreover, his actions proved that he loved him and later discovered that it was all lies.

“During the dating stage, I noticed that he was a womanizer, and he didn’t know how to talk to a woman, but he was a nice guy. I should have stayed back when I noticed those things, but I was in love. So I dealt with it even when I was hurting.

I took care of more than half the cost of the wedding. After our marriage, he often used work as an excuse to do other things. He told me that he was not ready for marriage. He was forced to marry me, and he only came for my money,” Sarah said.

Miss Arthur added that her mother warned her against him, but she was so much in love to notice anything. As a result, she could not inform her mother about what she was going through in the marriage.

“One time, I got so ill and needed to get to the hospital. My ex-husband told me to go with my mother because he has to work. It meant that his money was more important than his wife. So I decided to divorce him when I got better.”

According to the mother of two, her ex-husband did not make any objections to her plea for divorce and immediately accepted her demand for separation.
