Emmanuel Asafo Adjei, a Ghanaian based in London, Ontario (Canada), shared his inspiring story on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide Show with DJ Nyaami.

Emmanuel currently teaches in a college in Canada and also monitors his various projects back home in Ghana. He describes himself as a certified international trade professional and an educationist who believes in having a long-term vision for success.

Recounting his journey, Emmanuel said he completed Kumasi Academy and later graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). After school, he worked with the Lands Commission and later became a manager at International Community School in Kumasi.

“When I was in KNUST, I bought my first land in my twenties,” he shared. “I’ve always believed in investing early and working hard for the future.”

He revealed that he used to sell pencils and other small items during his school days to make his own money. That entrepreneurial spirit, he said, helped shape his mindset about business and independence.

After receiving a full scholarship for his Master’s degree, Emmanuel excelled academically, graduating with straight A’s. He now teaches college courses in Canada and travels frequently to countries like Singapore and India for international programs.

Emmanuel advised young people, especially those hoping to travel abroad, to focus on skills and discipline.

“Canada is not easy, but there are opportunities for skilled workers — carpenters, masons, nurses, and others are in high demand,” he noted

Aside from teaching, Emmanuel is deeply involved in agribusiness. He manages farms in Ghana where he cultivates tiger nuts, kontomire (cocoyam leaves), passion fruit, and fatmah plants. He supplies produce to major outlets such as Shoprite, and also exports to Canada and the United States.

“I control the entire value chain — from production to export,” he explained proudly. “I’ve planted over 1,000 kontomire plants, and I’m now consulting for Ghanaians in the diaspora who want to go into farming. I help them build their farms and create the market for their produce.”

Emmanuel’s story is a testament to hard work, vision, and the importance of creating opportunities both at home and abroad.
