Kwadwo Sarfo Shares His Inspiring Journey from Ghana to Canada on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle

Kwadwo Sarfo, currently based in Greater Toronto, Canada, appeared on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide show with DJ Nyaami. He has lived in Canada for over 10 years, but his journey has been filled with both challenges and remarkable achievements.

Sarfo shared that he was mentored by Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo of the Kantanka family, who played a major role in shaping his life. As a child, he had issues with his leg, and after several failed medical attempts, he was taken to Apostle Sarfo, who helped him recover. He later learned drums and lead guitar under the Apostle’s guidance. Because of his brilliance, Apostle Sarfo even named him after himself.

Though his father initially rejected him after the naming, Apostle Sarfo took care of him and predicted that one day his father would come back to him for help—a prophecy that later came true.

Kwadwo furthered his education at Koforidua Secondary Technical School and later studied electronics at Takoradi Polytechnic, where he mastered how to repair TVs and motherboards. He traveled widely to places like Brazil, Russia, South Africa, and over 17 other countries.

His journey to Canada began when he met a woman on Facebook. They later married, but unfortunately, she fell ill and passed away, which led to complications with his immigration papers and even a near deportation. Despite the setback, he later remarried, started a family, and built a new life in Canada.

Kwadwo started small, working as a dishwasher, but eventually took courses in autism care and explored IC programming. After COVID-19, he observed how job opportunities became scarce, but he persevered. With resilience, he established his own business, Sorana Goods Enterprise, named after his first child.

Today, his brand produces items such as diapers, sanitary pads, sardines, mackerel, tomato paste, sunflower oil, and more. His products are distributed across Canada, the USA, and Ghana. He has also built one house in Canada and four 9-bedroom houses in Ghana.

Despite the challenges, Kwadwo emphasizes that faith, hard work, and positivity have brought him this far. He even received financial support from Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo at a critical point, which helped him scale up his business.

According to him, poverty is not about being broke but about being unable to work. He advises Ghanaians not to sell their houses and lands just to travel abroad, stressing that there is real money in Ghana too. In his words: “Always be positive. If you are strong, you are not poor. Nigerians see Ghana as their USA, so we also have opportunities at home.”
