Musa, the CEO of SwitchTV1 and a regular guest on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide show with DJ Nyaami, has shared troubling news about the current immigration crackdown in the United States. According to him, a close friend has been arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and is currently in detention. His calls are not going through, leaving friends and family worried.

Musa explained that the U.S. government recently canceled the “no permit” green card policy and replaced it with a two-year conditional green card. As a result, many individuals are stuck in places like Dubai, caught up in immigration issues and unsure of what to do next.

He revealed that ICE is now actively arresting undocumented immigrants, forcing many into hiding. One Ghanaian man, who had even purchased a return ticket to Ghana, went into hiding after an ICE raid.

Despite the chaos, Musa says he feels more comfortable living in the U.S. than returning to Ghana.

“The system here is good,” he said. “If you tell me to return to Ghana, I’ll cry. Here, I get free insurance and even receive money when I’m unemployed.”

He added that with a good immigration lawyer, it’s possible to get your case renewed and have your deportation case postponed—sometimes even up to the year 2028 or 2029.
