Ghanaian politician Kofi Koranteng appeared on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, where he delivered a passionate critique of Ghana’s leadership and outlined his vision for the country’s transformation.
Koranteng emphasized that true leaders must possess vision and the ability to translate ideas into reality. He believes Ghana has the potential to become a thriving agricultural nation, particularly in the organic produce sector. “We have vast lands in the Western North, yet we’ve failed to tap into their potential,” he said.
He stressed the psychological impact of food and how it shapes human behavior.
“If people are not properly nourished, how can they function or contribute meaningfully to society?” he asked.
According to Koranteng, leadership in Ghana has “completely failed,” with many in power lacking direction and purpose. He pointed to the Netherlands as an example of how agriculture can thrive with the right systems in place.
“Meanwhile, Ghana is still stuck with outdated curriculums that don’t serve our current needs. Nothing happens by accident—successful nations plan and evolve,” he noted.
He praised leaders like Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso for showing boldness and direction, contrasting that with what he called Ghana’s “scripted dysfunction.” He argued that a country without a functioning system is essentially operating in fraud—and Ghanaians have sadly become used to that fraudulent status quo.
“The environment shapes people,” he said. “If we fix the systems, the people will also rise.”
Frustrated by the state of politics in Ghana, Koranteng declared:
“I’m sick and tired of Ghanaian politicians. With the amount of gold and cocoa we have, we can rebuild the entire nation in just three years.”
He concluded by advocating for a gold refinery in Ghana.
“If we refine our gold here, we could earn ten times its current value. The potential is there—we just need competent leadership and the will to act.”
