In a heartwarming episode of SVTV Africa Connect with DJ Nyaami, Ernest Ameyaw shared his emotional journey of searching for someone dear to him—Bra Oge—whom he hadn’t heard from in over 40 years. The segment, which focuses on reuniting people with long-lost friends and family, made this powerful connection possible.

Ernest explained that Bra Oge had played a major role in his life when he was younger. “He helped me so much back then,” Ernest said. “I always wanted to find him again and just say thank you.”

The reunion finally happened on SVTV Africa, where Bra Oge appeared and was visibly touched by the gesture. “Ernest was like a brother and a son to me,” Bra Oge said. “I did everything I could to support him when I had little. I’m grateful he found me again. Life hasn’t been easy—I’m now back in Duayaw Nkwanta and starting over from scratch—but this moment means a lot.”

He explained that after moving away from the area, they lost contact. He only recently found out Ernest is now living in the UK.

Despite his current struggles, Bra Oge emphasized, “We should never stop doing good. Everyone reaps what they sow.”

Ernest expressed his deep appreciation to SVTV Africa for creating the platform that made their reunion possible. “When I first spoke to him, I had mixed emotions. I’ve searched for him for a long time. I could have cried,” Ernest admitted.

He also shared how moved he was by the positive comments from viewers. “Some people said I did well for not forgetting someone who once helped me. I want to encourage everyone—if someone has ever helped you, do your best to repay them with goodness.”
