Men abroad must rather be humble to keep their marriages – Minister Kofi Nyarko

Gospel Minister Kofi Nyarko based in the UK advised that African men living abroad must be humble in their marriages to keep it.

Speaking with SVTV AFRICA’s DJ Nyaami, Kofi Nyarko indicated that marriage in the US differs from Ghana and Africa due to the laws that protect and empower women. According to him, it becomes a challenge for many African men living abroad, which causes divorce among African communities.

“The man must be humble enough to keep the marriage. You must always support her with house chores unlike in Ghana where the woman handles everything. Both husband and wife work here and you don’t expect her to always do the cooking.

I cook and clean when I have to and don’t mind because it is to support her. There is nothing like a woman’s job. You cannot claim to be the man of the house here in the UK. I still pay bills and rent,” he noted.

The gospel artiste has been married for nine years. He shared more about maintaining a marriage in the UK and the challenges many African husbands face abroad.
