Vietnam-based Ghanaian Criss Mettle stated that Vietnam is his heaven and that he lives comfortably and earns good money.
In an interview with SVTV AFRICA’s DJ Nyaami, Criss mentioned that there is quality of life is better and the cost of living is low compared to other countries. He works as an English teacher with accommodation provided.
He noted that his earnings were significantly higher than in Ghana, allowing him to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle. “The least you can get as a teacher is $10 per hour,” Criss said.
Initially, Criss had little knowledge about the country but was drawn in by a lucrative job offer that promised a fulfilling experience. After his first visit, he was reluctant to leave. However, the transition was not without challenges.
In the beginning, Criss found it difficult to secure a job, which led him to make the difficult decision to migrate to India temporarily. This move was necessary to avoid overstaying his visa in Vietnam.
While in India, he continued to search for a job that would sponsor his visa. After some time, his efforts paid off when he secured a part-time position and eventually a full-time position.
