China-based Ghanaian entrepreneur Daniel Elorm Oben-Torkornoo stated that Ghana and Africa let go of the brave and intelligent leaders who could develop the continent.
The CEO of Gasor Electric Tech Limited mentioned that Ghana lacks courageous leaders “because the few courageous ones who lived, we killed them. As Africans, we must draw clear boundaries to know who our friends and enemies are.”
In an interview with Daily Hustle Worldwide, Mr Oben-Torkornoo indicated that the Chinese have a tradition of allowing wise individuals to govern, rather than just anyone. This reflects their emphasis on selecting leaders based on wisdom and merit.
Daniel advised that when it comes to electing a president, Ghanaians should establish a clear set of criteria that transcends political party affiliations. This will help ensure that the most qualified individuals are chosen to lead the country.
Ghana seems to have overlooked its historical lessons, which may hinder its development. Ghanaians need to remember and understand their history to progress.
