Nana Ama, a Ghanaian based in the UAE, disclosed that she slept in a washroom for days after her host threw her out for rejecting his love proposal.
Speaking with DJ Nyaami on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Nana Ama mentioned that she became homeless after a week in the UAE. Her agent in Dubai claimed to have a job for her, but it was false. She had to search for a job herself and threw out after hosting her for a week.
With the help of an acquaintance, a Ghanaian man offered to host Nana Ama. However, he wanted more than just a host-guest relationship. He wished for her to be his lover. When Nana Ama rejected his proposal, he threw her out.
“He asked me out within two weeks and even came to me at night wanting to have sex. He was not a man I could not be with, but I was scared. I heard a lot about how men treat women here. So he threw me out of his house. I slept in a washroom for days. I woke up when someone knocked to use it and went back in after.”
While at the host’s house, Ama became acquainted with the other Ghanaians who lived in the apartment. One offered to rent a place for her when he heard of her situation and gave her some money to search for a job.
