US-based Ghanaian Kamal Samgbe has urged Ghanaian men living abroad to avoid bringing their wives to protect their marriages.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Kamal stated that he has no plans of bringing his wife to the US to live because the system destroys African marriages. He added that despite his status in the US, he wishes to return to Ghana.
“The laws and systems in the US are different from Ghana. We are raised differently and I’m not here to learn their culture. I won’t bring my wife because the mindset is that I’m here to work. Why bring her here when I can establish a business for her to manage?
We can tour the world after she has given me four kids. Most women change after they see the money. You need to protect your marriage and you won’t bring your wife here if you want that. They (the US) have a system here that is not conducive for African marriages,” he said.
He added that men can consider it when they are undocumented in the country. Otherwise, he would never advise it.
