“I got a government scholarship, and it is in the contract to return to Ghana to serve after the program. But the thing is that the government has no job for you when you return to Ghana. That is why many of us refuse to return after the scholarship ends.

We need to help build Ghana because most of the skilled labour force is leaving the country. I’d like to serve in Ghana, depending on the offer.  I can’t return to Ghana for a Ghs2000 job. I used to make GHS5000 before I travelled abroad, and that was not enough.”

Benjamin disclosed that he makes over GHS8000 as a part-timer in the UK and would not accept an offer below GHS15,000.

“GHS15,000 is not too much. The higher your income, the higher your expenses. That cannot buy land in Ghana. The conditions here are better than in Ghana,” he said on SVTV AFRICA.
