Farmer and founder of Oboadie Ancient Village, Oboadie, stated that he’d rather farm in Ghana than work abroad.

Speaking on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Oboadie indicated that he believes working abroad is slavery and would never settle for such a lifestyle. With his travel experience, Oboadie mentioned that he returned to Ghana because there was nothing there.

“People encourage others to travel on social media, but there is nothing there. Look around, there are fruits and livestock here that are easily accessible. Can you do that in Canada? What they do abroad is slavery. I don’t believe in slave jobs.

I’d serve my country instead. We have leadership problems, and that’s why many youths are leaving Ghana. Why should you travel to America to hustle? Start a business here with that money you want to give an agent,” he said.

Obaodie worked as a journalist with Metro TV. He decided to start the Ancient Village with his farm produce. At the village, Oboadie serves local Ghanaian dishes.

Women are not allowed to do or touch anything and are given freebies because he believes they must be treated special. Moreover, customers are expected to take home the earthenwares they after eating.
