Australia-based Ghanaian Kwame Poku disclosed that his ex-wife travelled to the UK and filed for divorce through her mother, but she wants her husband back once again. 

Kwame mentioned that he faced some financial constraints after he suffered a pay cut at his job, but it did not affect the financial support he gave to his ex-wife and kids.

Speaking with DJ Nyaami on SVTV AFRICA, Kwame Poku revealed that his ex-wife left the country without telling him. According to the ex-wife, she left because of his financial constraints. 

“My salary was reduced by 50% because the company changed their mode of operation. Honestly, life became tough, but we endured. I called her from work one day, and it was off. She called on WhatsApp later to tell me she was in London. 

My ex-wife told me she couldn’t stay with the turn of events. Her attitude began to change, so I visited her mother, but she told me to forget about my wife and focus on the kids. Eventually, a lawyer called to inform me that my in-law was filing for a divorce on my wife’s behalf, but she denied it,” he said. 

According to Kwame, his ex-wife became jobless after their first child. Kwame supported her and set up a business for her. He believes his ex-wife did not want to return the favour in his crisis. 

“I applied for a job in Australia and visited my mother-in-law to inform her because my kids lived with her. She then asked what I was planning to do about my ex-wife. I told her that I took her advice to forget her. 

Immediately after I arrived, my ex called to ask where I was, but she had not called me in two months. She’s been trying to come back, but that is not possible. I’ve taken her mother’s advice.”
