Ghanaian based in Spain, Bossman has shared his story from his past life as a ’sakawa’ boy in Kumasi Ahwiaa Zongo.

Bossman revealed that he was 14 years when he got introduced into the practice. According to him, his father suffered a stroke and he needed to ‘hustle’ to support the family as the firstborn.

In a chat on ‘Daily Hustle Worldwide’ with DJ Nyaami, Bossman indicated that he made money through the illegal practices but soon lost everything.

“I was one of the few guys who began the ’sakawa’ in the area and I made a lot of money. But at a point, I couldn’t focus on school anymore because I was already making the money. Even though I passed my WASSCE, I did not want to further the education because I was making the money,” he narrated.

“My parents had advised me to learn a trade or further my education but it was not beneficial to me. I could make over GHS10K in a day, why do I need education or a job.”

Bossman however disclosed his motivation for quitting the illegal practices and putting his focus on something illegal and profitable.

“I do not want to give birth for them to grow and realize that their father is a ‘sakawa’ boy; that was my biggest motivation,” he said on SVTV Africa.
