Germany-based Ghanaian Nana Bediako mentioned that his stepfather sponsored his trip to Germany, but he never asked him to pay for the cost, however, he worked and gave him his monthly salary for seven months.
In an interview on SVTV Africa, Nana Bediako revealed that his biological father had little impact on his life, but his stepfather fulfilled the role of a loving father figure. Nana added that he had no love for his biological father.
“My stepfather promised to bring me to Germany, and he fulfilled it. O was deported the first time, but we succeeded on the second try. I got a job three weeks after I arrived. I worked like a horse because I wanted to impress him.
I don’t know whether he secured a loan to sponsor my trip, so I had to work to impress him. I made about 1700 to 2000 euros and only took out 200 for tickets. I gave my salary to him for seven months continuously.”
According to Nana, he continued this act until his stepfather told him to save the money. He added that his stepfather is his god because he never experienced fatherly love until he met him.
