A Ghanaian lady in the UK, Matilda Agyeiwaa, stated that she would have pursued her entrepreneurial dream in Ghana rather than travel to the UK if she knew how difficult it is to live there.

In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Matilda indicated that she was anxious to leave Ghana and did not focus on her studies while in Ghana because her mother was in the UK and promised to come for her.

However, Matilda told DJ Nyaami that she should have stayed in Ghana, “I’d choose to start a business in Ghana rather than stay there. I would not have come if I knew how tough life is here.

I studied entrepreneurship, and I’d have pursued that instead. The problem is that returning to Ghana after a while here is tough, especially when you get integrated into the system,” she said.

Speaking on the tough aspects of living abroad, especially in the UK, Matilda mentioned that she was fired from her first job for being a minute late. She mentioned that the work-life in the UK was challenging for her as she had never worked in Ghana.
