Eunice Darko, a Ghanaian living in the USA, revealed that her pastor deceived her into divorcing her husband because it was a sin to remarry while her ex-husband was still alive.
In an SVTV AFRICA interview with DJ Nyaami, Mama Eunice, as she is affectionately called, revealed that she joined a religious society in Ghana with “unorthodox beliefs” but accepted them because heaven was the goal.
“I stopped wearing earrings and wigs because they had a dream, and God said those things were sinful. I accepted them because I wanted to go to heaven. They have destroyed many people’s marriages and jobs.
They told me it was a sin to marry another man while my ex-husband was still alive and that I would go to hell. I painfully divorced my husband,” she said.
According to Mama Eunice, the pastor’s gospel caused a man to burn his green card because he got it through sinful ways. Moreover, Mrs Darko said,” I spent over GHS15,000 on that church. I will report him to the police when I visit Ghana and take back my money.
They back it up with some Bible verses to make it believable. The same pastor encouraged a nurse in the US to return to Ghana to sell ‘kako’ (fermented fish).
