Netherlands-based Ghanaian Mavis Adusu disclosed that the only issue in her marriage is that her husband does not allow her to contribute financially.

In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Mavis indicated that her Ghanaian husband has never asked to share bills or rent as many couples abroad do. According to her, it has become the only thing they argue about in their marriage.

“I don’t pay anything. We often argue about that. I want to help with the bills, but he never allows me. He pays me back whenever I buy something for the kids. Many people say I have it good, but I don’t feel comfortable with that,” she said.

Mrs Aduku mentioned that her husband’s strategy is why they live a quarrel-free marriage. Moreover, Mavis added that she ensures her husband is always happy at home.

“I always do something to spice up our marriage. Keeping a marriage depends on the woman. I don’t mind taking him to the bathroom to bathe him or washing his feet. It’s something small but meaningful. I work too, but he fuels my car sometimes.”

Mavis resigned from her banking job in Ghana to join her husband in the Netherlands six years ago. They have five kids together and have adopted one.
