US-based Ghanaian Eric Kwarteng shared a horrifying road trip from Guyana to the USA. He disclosed that they saw the bodies of those who began the trip, but never arrived at their destination.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Eric mentioned that he paid a ‘connection man’ for a visa and flight ticket to Mexico, but the ‘connection man’ gave him a ticket to Guyana instead.
“We were about 35 Ghanaians. We arrived in Guyana at 1 am and paid $300 for a bus ticket to Brazil in the morning. We spent 17 hours on the road. We stayed there for six days planning our next move.
Their next stop was a border town in Brazil to Peru. They moved on to another border town in Peru to Ecuador. Gradually, they made it to Columbia, where they continued through a thick forest to Panama.
“There were women among us, so we had to rest now and again, but the guy leading us got angry and left us. I had to leave behind the others because they were slow. I walked for six hours and met others on the road. I saw dead bodies along the path and in the river,” he added.
