Canada-based Ghanaian Jennifer Sefa disclosed that she took the cost of their wedding ceremony after her ex-husband impregnated her, but he cheated and abused her.
In an interview on SVTV AFRICA, Jennifer shared her bitter marriage experience with DJ Nyaami. She revealed that her ex-husband not only cheated but physically abused her in front of their kids.
“The first time he hit me, I let it slide, but the second time I called the cops on him. He threw me against the wall while I was carrying the baby. He was drunk and high, so I reported him and had him thrown out of the house. I didn’t make a report on the abuse.”
According to Jennifer, she believes her ex-husband did not want her because he was not committed to the marriage or supported her financially.
“He did not take care of the kids. There’s nothing he can say he paid for during our marriage. We dated for two years, but we were both busy. We barely spoke. I paid for the wedding when I got pregnant to cover my shame,” she said.
The mother of two added that she has no relationship with her ex-husband, and he has not been in contact with her or the kids for years.
