Germany-based Ghanaian Janet Ampofoa has stated that she may have been a divorcée by now if she had married a Ghanaian.
According to Janet, many Ghanaians who join their partners abroad, especially in Germany end up alone after a few months or years.
Speaking on Daily Hustle Worldwide, the mother of two indicated that she may have been a single mother or divorcée if she had not met her German husband.
“Many of them divorce because of the friends they keep and financial issues. I met my husband ten years ago, and we’ve been married for eight years. I’m sure we’d have divorced if I married a Ghanaian.
Because the law favours women, some use it to their advantage. If she comes here and gets used to the system, you might lose.”
Moreover, Janet added that her marriage is stress-free because her partner is White. They met ten years ago when he visited Ghana. Two years later, Janet and her husband were married at ages 20 and 23, respectively.
