UK-based Ghanaian Abena Dankwah shared her experience working for a fellow Ghanaian and mentioned that it felt like working with the devil.

Speaking on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Abena revealed that she worked for a Ghanaian when she first arrived in London and described it as hell-like. According to Abena, “it’s like you’re in hell.”

“I got the job through a family member. I was going to work for a Ghanaian man. If you’re new here without documents and accept to work for a Ghanaian, it feels like working with the devil. You’ll never have peace. They’ll overwork you but will not pay you enough,” she said.

Abena Dankwah mentioned that making it abroad depends on whom the individual stays with. Many Ghanaians have shared similar sentiments on this. They believe that the individual could fail or succeed depending on the advice of their host.

According to the mother of one, she faced many challenges, including sex offers only because she was undocumented.
