Germany-based Ghanaian Rebecca Amoaning has revealed that her ex-husband only married her for German documents and eventually divorced her after getting them.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Rebecca mentioned that they got married in 2000, and he finally travelled to Germany nine years later.
Six years later, Rebecca’s ex-husband told her to allow him impregnate another woman since they could not bear kids. Madam Rebecca said, “I did not agree to it, but he went ahead to date another lady when he had a daughter already.”
Madam Rebecca indicated that he only wanted to travel abroad, and her ex-husband would have divorced her even if they had kids.
“I ignored a lot of red flags. I didn’t think much of it. I heard a lot about him, but he told me he had changed. He sometimes cried and acted like an angel. So I believed him.”
According to Rebecca, she regrets ignoring advice from her family. However, she believes the time and money wasted on marriage is for the best. The divorcee added that she fasted and prayed for a good man, but it didn’t turn out as expected.
