Ghanaian entrepreneur Kwaku Fosu Asare has shared his success story on how he travelled from the Oti Region and disclosed that his target was to taste FanYogo.

In an interview on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, the CEO of Carline Auto Parts indicated that he worked several odd jobs before training to become an auto-electrician. According to Mr Asare, his second reason for travelling from his hometown in the Oti Region was FanYogo.

“We had heard of yoghurt, but I had never tasted it before. Yoghurt was my target. I wanted to come and have a taste of it. Where were you going to get that in my village? So that was the first thing I bought when our bus arrived in Accra,” he told DJ Nyaami.

According to Kwaku Fosu, he first worked as a cobbler after arriving in Accra and gave up after one day and joined a bus as a conductor.

Kwaku Fosu mentioned he quit the ‘mate’ job because “I fell on a 24th night and made that decision, but I made some money. My brother and I stayed home for two days without food. Then we joined some guys to do construction work.

Eventually, Mr Asare revealed that he was advised to learn auto electricals and gradually built himself up. He shared advice her mother gave him before making his journey to Accra.

“My mother said three things. She said, ‘Kwaku, don’t go after a married woman, never steal and be honest.’ That was her advice to me.”
