Kenyan lady based in Russia, Anne Mbela, has revealed that her boss asked for sexual favors, but she resigned and did not report him before her boss was a father to her.
In a chat on SVTV Africa, Anne indicated that sleeping with him was not an option because of her moral standing. According to Anne, she immediately told him off and resigned. However, she could not report him.
“It was uncomfortable, so I just told him off. If he can’t respect me as my senior, he should be handling me with care. He said I was rude and I had to resign immediately. He is a family friend, and I knew his kids and wife. This person is like my dad. I looked at him as a father.
Of course, he would have been fired, but I imagined what the kids would go through, and his wife is a good person. I didn’t want them to go through that because I reported it. It was wrong, but I did it differently,” she explained.
Anne advised young women to avoid such cases and not have to sleep with men for a job.
“If it’s meant for you, it will be yours. For the guys putting women through this, remember you have a sister, mother, and aunt. Think about what your sister might go through if someone did that to her,” she told DJ Nyaami on Daily Hustle Worldwide.
