Entrepreneur and member of Bussi Plus Ghana, Irene Jiggs has indicated that being a plus-size woman, men mostly want to have a ‘feel’ of her and not for a lasting relationship.
Speaking with DJ Nyaami, Irene stated that as a divorced woman she is very patient and would not rush into a relationship that will not be worth her time. Regardless, she prefers a business-minded man.
“I’m single now but I want someone who would help me. Most of the men who approach me are either married or just want games. I’m not ready for games. I want someone who is business-minded…I love money. If you come with ideas and we might end up together. Let’s grow together,” Irene said.
Irene mentioned that being plus-size and all its negatives have never been a challenge for her. According to her, she has grown a tough skin for such comments.
“I’ve become used to it. They always give me names but it has become normal. Luckily, all my siblings are plus-size as well as parents,” she added.
Bussi Plus is an association for plus size women in Ghana. The association helps them stay healthy while boosting their confidence.
