Trader and resident of Kasoa, Efe Baafi has disclosed that armed robbery has become rampant in the area and most of these robbers are unemployed.
Efe stated on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami that it has become so usual that a resident can go out and come back to an armed robber in their room.
”There are so many unemployed youths here but few jobs. If you are not strong, stealing becomes the only option. In my area, you can go out to urinate and come back to meet a thief in your room,” Efe disclosed.
She however explained that the theft cases have reduced after two thieves were burnt alive recently and ”these days the thieves use motorbikes to rob people.
Also, mobile money vendors are robbed often. Kaso has become a dangerous place to stay. They steal mattress, fowls etc.”
