The residents have appealed to the government and other well-meaning Ghanaians come to their aid with roofing sheets and other building materials to enable them to put up a shelter.

Assemblyman of the area Hon. Cosmos Nkrumah bemoaned some children below two years will be sleeping outside as it is not good for their health.

The National Disaster and Management Organization(NADMO) Coordinator for Twifu Atti-Mokwa District Mr. Addae Marfo advised the general public to be extra careful as we enter the rainy season and stay away from waterlogged areas.

“We will plant more trees to breaks the wind when it rains to avoid any disaster. We will also do our best to help the victims. We have also appealed to the Member of Parliament and the District Chief of Executive for the area to assist them and we hope to hear from them soon.”

Meanwhile, the Awutu Senya East Municipal NADMO Coordinator Mr. Kwame
Amoah said they will do their best to demolish some of the houses in the waterlogged areas to pave way for flood water to flow.

The Municipal Assembly has in the meantime provided classrooms for them to sleep there temporarily while they do their best to fix their houses for them.
