From Tema Oil Refinery to Europe: Benny’s 20-Year Journey Through Norway and Germany

Benny, a Ghanaian based in Germany who previously lived in Norway for ten years, recently shared his story in an interview with DJ Nyaami on Daily Hustle Worldwide. His journey is one of courage, sacrifice, and transformation spanning two decades in Europe.

After resigning from his position at Tema Oil Refinery in Ghana, Benny made the bold decision to seek new opportunities abroad. Unhappy with how life was unfolding at the time, he left Ghana determined to change his future.

He spent his first ten years in Norway, where he studied, worked, and gradually built a strong foundation for himself. Education became a major turning point, opening doors and helping him understand the European system. From his early days in mission school back home to pursuing opportunities overseas, Benny’s journey reflects persistence and long-term vision.

Don’t Dream of Seeking Asylum During the Upcoming World Cup Season

Following his decade in Norway, he relocated to Germany, where he has now lived for another ten years. According to him, Europe taught him discipline, patience, and the importance of structure. Over the past 20 years abroad, he has focused on working hard, avoiding unnecessary conflict, and building stability.

Benny is a father of two children with two different mothers and believes strongly in peaceful co-parenting. Living abroad, he says, has taught him maturity in handling family matters, emphasizing respect and responsibility in raising children.

He advises Ghanaians living abroad to build where they reside before investing heavily back home. He encourages young men who dream of traveling to Europe to work hard, stay disciplined, avoid trouble, and save consistently. He also warns against shortcuts and urges migrants to respect and follow the rules of their host countries.

Faith in God, discipline, and consistency, Benny says, have sustained him throughout his 20-year journey. On relationships, he believes love has no color — mindset and character matter more than race. Currently single, he says he is focused on peace, growth, and maintaining balance in his life.

From Tema to Norway and now Germany, Benny’s story is one of resilience, growth, and the power of bold decisions.
