Man Togo, a Ghanaian based in Germany, has become a regular guest on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide show with DJ Nyaami. During his latest interview, he shared candid insights about life abroad, marriage, and the challenges faced by many Ghanaians living overseas.
According to Man Togo, one of the most important things about living abroad is having proper documentation.
“If you have the right papers, you’ll always find a place to stay and live comfortably. But without them, life can be really hard,” he explained.
He also expressed his admiration for the tax system abroad.
“I love paying taxes here because you can actually see how they use them to fix the country. That’s something I wish Ghana would also adopt seriously,” he said.
Man Togo further touched on relationships and marriages abroad. He advised Ghanaians not to rush into bringing partners from Ghana without knowing them well.
“Some people think bringing someone from Ghana to marry is the best option, but it can be risky. You might bring them here, and once they get their papers, they’ll leave you. It’s often better to meet someone abroad who already understands the system and has proper documents,” he cautioned.
He noted that while there are good men and women both in Ghana and abroad, everything depends on how well two people know each other before marriage.
“Some people without papers marry those with legal status to start life together, but unfortunately, some take advantage of the situation. When you help people, they can later turn against you,” he added.
Man Togo concluded with a reflective thought about life abroad:
“Everyone can die at any time, so live wisely, stay humble, and invest in something meaningful. I believe in hard work and honesty because, one day, everything you’ve worked for will speak for you.”
