Ohemaa Serwaa Frempong, a Ghanaian woman living in the UK, shared her emotional journey on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami.
According to Ohemaa, her life took several unexpected turns before she finally traveled abroad. “I tried to get a passport 6 or 7 times, but it never worked. There was even a prophecy that I would travel, but I didn’t believe it. Eventually, in 2022, I got the opportunity to come abroad, and before I even arrived, I had already secured a job,” she revealed.
Her personal life, however, was not without struggles. Ohemaa got married in 2010 but left the marriage just a year after the birth of her last child. “I left my marriage 10 years ago. My ex-husband was the father of my three children, but another woman came into the picture. I tried to make it work, but I couldn’t. I ignored so many red flags. Mentally, I broke down. I was once a happy woman, but life became difficult,” she said.
She also disclosed that she quit her banking job back in Ghana, which made things even harder financially. “There were times I went through serious hell. The family depended on me, but things were tough. You keep looking for money to survive and also to send back home,” she added.
Despite all these challenges, Ohemaa has maintained a positive outlook. “I believe everything happens for a reason. My journey has not been easy, but I have always been a visionary and I knew someday things would turn around,” she concluded.
