Christian, a Ghanaian Entrepreneur in the UK, Shares His Business Journey on SVTV Africa

Christian, the CEO of Chirim UK Limited, is a Ghanaian entrepreneur based in the United Kingdom. He is currently an electrician By Profession and has successfully registered a limited company in the UK through his visa. Christian is also a returning guest on SVTV Africa’s Business Link show with DJ Nyaami.

According to Christian, “There are more opportunities here, and surprisingly, it’s easier to register a limited company in the UK than in Ghana. In Ghana, the process can be more demanding.” He attributes his knowledge to platforms like TikTok, where he learned about the steps involved in starting a business. Initially, he operated as a sole proprietor before switching to a limited company structure.

Christian deals in a wide range of goods, including perfumes, liquid soap, electrical items, household goods, TVs, laptops, and phones. He has registered with major supermarkets in the UK, and when they have overstock, he purchases the excess items and resells them both in the UK and Ghana. “I sell anything affordable,” he stated.

Though bills in the UK are high, he emphasized that being honest and faithful has helped him maintain smooth clearance processes and business relationships. He currently operates two warehouse locations — one in Coventry (Midlands) and another in Audishell. His business also offers products such as wood paint, some of which include free delivery.

Christian praised the support he has received from fellow Ghanaians in the UK, saying, “Most Ghanaians are good people. Those who say otherwise may be part of the problem themselves.”

He has obtained a license in electrical work but is focusing on growing his business first before pursuing it further. In Ghana, his brand “Chris BCSBFU” also sells wine in Takoradi, as well as school bags on a wholesale basis. His ultimate goal is to grow his customer base both in Ghana and the UK.

“Information is power,” Christian concluded, encouraging others to be proactive in seeking knowledge and

opportunities.
