Prince Young, a Ghanaian based in Ghana with frequent visits to Australia, is a recurring guest on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide show with DJ Nyaami.

Though he lives in Ghana, Prince has traveled widely and gained a unique perspective on development, investment, and the future of Africa and based in Australia.

“I see Ghana differently. I believe the right leadership can stabilize the cedi and transform Ghana into the heart of Africa’s growth,” he said.

He emphasized that Africa has a bright future, and advised the youth abroad: “If you have something meaningful to do, come home quickly.”

While many were rushing to buy U.S. dollars, Prince was investing in the Ghanaian cedi, believing in the country’s economic potential.
“Investing in the dollar while living in Ghana is the weakest decision. Why invest in another country’s currency when you live in your own? We must be patriotic.”

Prince revealed that he’s proud of his investments in Ghana and urged others to invest locally, especially in the cedi, land, and property. He criticized the idea of mortgages abroad, saying, “Buying a house overseas through a mortgage is not a true investment. You end up paying for it three times over in 15–16 years, and in the end, you may not even live to enjoy it.”

He added, “Real investment should provide for you and allow you to live close to your loved ones. Ghana’s treasury bills are strong, and land appreciates here.”

Due to family illness, Prince has not traveled recently, but he stands by his choice to stay close to home. He believes that many Western systems are built to enslave people economically, and warned against working until retirement. “Smart people don’t rely on retirement benefits. True financial freedom comes from creating value and earning from your skills, while having time for your family.”

He called on Ghanaian authorities to eliminate price controls and allow the market to regulate itself. “Things are expensive abroad. Jobs are scarce, and even the whites are fleeing their own countries due to high living costs.”

Prince believes that life is easier now than before, thanks to access to information and tools like Google. “If you want to travel, you can do it yourself. You don’t need an agent. Learn the process.”

He recounted how someone almost paid GHC150,000 to attend a fake Australian conference, but he stepped in and warned him. “No real conference costs that much. And there’s no such thing as ‘work and pay’—that’s a scam.”
