Denise Yaa, a chef, businesswoman, and aspiring lawyer, was a guest on Daily Hustle Worldwide, where she shared her inspiring life story and experiences during her interview with DJ Nyaami.

Born in Mississauga, Canada, and rooted in Ghanaian heritage from Mampong, Ghana, Denise revealed how her upbringing, challenges, and ambitions have shaped her journey.

Raised by a single mother after her father passed away at a young age, Denise is the eldest of seven siblings.

Her mother instilled Ghanaian cultural values in her, even sending her to Ghana in 2010 to “shape up” her life.

There, she learned discipline, cooking, and household chores, an experience she credits for her personal growth.

Now based in Canada, Denise has built a thriving restaurant and catering business specializing in Ghanaian cuisine, serving dishes like waakye, banku, fufu, and more to the Ghanaian community in Toronto.

She is passionate about making authentic African food accessible and affordable to those abroad while honoring her mother’s legacy of cooking for their neighborhood.

Denise also shared her aspirations to open an agency to assist immigrants, particularly Ghanaians, in navigating the challenges of settling in Canada and seeking asylum.

She highlighted the importance of community, faith, and preparation when pursuing opportunities abroad.

As an aspiring lawyer, Denise hopes to continue making a difference in the lives of others while balancing her business and legal dreams.

Her story is a testament to resilience, faith, and the power of embracing one’s roots to create a better future.
