Harry, a Former United Nations consultant and a relationship counsellor appeared as a returning guest on SVTV Africa’s Daily Hustle Worldwide show with DJ Nyaami.

He began by discussing the challenges he faced in 2024, expressing his optimism for the year ahead.

He hopes to fulfill his dreams in 2025 and stated, “I will go light in 2025.”

Harry shared his views on relationships, particularly regarding marriage in Africa. He pointed out that many men in Africa marry women and end up taking on the financial burdens of their wives and their families.

He also advised men not to sleep with a woman they’re dating within the first three months, saying it’s important to assess what she truly brings to the table.

He acknowledged the struggles of women who work hard but still find their salaries insufficient.

According to Harry, some women are raised in Ghana with the mentality that their husbands should provide for them, yet they can’t expect the same from their brothers.

He also criticized Ghanaian relationships,

calling them “kwasiabuo” (silly or childish).

Discussing the differences between Ghanaian and European weddings, Harry mentioned that in Ghana, families are heavily involved in weddings, whereas in Europe, couples may marry with just their partner.

He also emphasized the importance of the relationship between a man and his mother-in-law, stating,

“If your mother-in-law doesn’t like you, vanish from there. Don’t marry her.”

However, if she likes you, it might be due to your wealth or what you bring to the table.

Harry also discussed the role of churches in marriages. He noted that some churches put undue pressure on young couples, even going as far as “gouging” (inspecting) a man’s house and bank accounts, which he believes is unnecessary.

He mentioned that many marriages have collapsed in recent years, citing statistics that over 1 billion marriages have failed globally, with 80% of the causes related to the influence of the church.

Harry criticized the government’s involvement in divorce proceedings, which, he believes, turns it into a profitable industry.

He pointed out that in America, divorce has become a billion-dollar business, with lawyers and the government profiting from the division of property and assets.

Regarding marriage and fidelity, Harry claimed that even pastors and macho men often face infidelity, with wives cheating with side men.

He also criticized tribalism in marriage, stating that marrying within one’s tribe is an outdated practice.

He noted that cross-cultural marriages, even those with language barriers, often last longer, unlike those built on tribal expectations.

Harry also blamed friends for interfering in marriages, contributing to their downfall. He noted that men often face emotional struggles but don’t always know who to turn to.

He emphasized the importance of getting to know someone well before starting a relationship, especially if you meet them on social media.

He cautioned that social media can often cause harm, with some women engaging with both real and online boyfriends, which devalues their genuine relationships.

Lastly, Harry shared his personal stance on exes. He stated that he doesn’t speak to any of his exes because he respects the women currently in his life.

He advised others to avoid staying in contact with their exes, as it can create problems in current relationships.

In conclusion, Harry emphasized the importance of respect, open-mindedness, and caution in relationships, and advised young couples to prioritize traditional marriage practices over modern pressures.
