Harry and his ex-wife got married and were divorced after a month for refusing his in-laws’ offer to live in their house.
Mr Harry disclosed in an interview on Daily Hustle Ghana that he saved up for a lavish wedding for his wife in April and in May, they were exes. According to Harry, there was no prior discussion about the relocation and he did not like the idea of living with in-laws.
His ex-wife felt disrespected and filed for divorce weeks into the marriage. Harry said, “She and her father took the case to court. I was lucky that we had not been married for long. I’m mentally strong but my family and friends were scared for me.”
“They thought I’d commit suicide. My mother almost collapsed one time because she couldn’t reach me. She came to my house thinking I had committed suicide. That was when I realised its severity. I sometimes passed by the house, forgetting I had reached home,” he shared.
Fortunately, Mr Harry had a job offer to work in the UN during the court proceedings and accepted the offer for a change of environment.
