CEO of Hot Pork GH, Mr. Godfred stated that he would never consider leaving his business to move to another country, even if offered a passport, because he makes about GHS5000 weekly profits.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Ghana with DJ Nyaami, Godfred shared a backstory to the success of his pork joint. According to him, it started as a side hustle but he saw a constant reduction in sales. As a result, he quit his 9-to-5 job to focus on it.
“I used to make GHS5000 a day but it dropped to GHS500 when I was not around. So, I resigned from my job to concentrate on it and I can boldly say that I have not regretted that decision.
I knew it would grow into a big business someday, so I invested in equipment. I bought a smoked grill worth $17,000. With only one branch, I make about GHS7000 to GHS8000 in sales daily and GHS5000 in profits.”
Godfred mentioned that he would not travel abroad despite the recent increase in Ghanaians travelling abroad even if “you give me a US passport and a house there.”
