Entrepreneur Mary Amponsah has disclosed that she dated legendary high-life musician Daddy Lumba despite her knowledge of his marriage.
In an interview on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Mary indicated that she was curious about dating a married man and described Daddy Lumba as a man with a good heart.
“I met him while on his way to see a DJ in Sunyani. We exchanged numbers, and I contacted him when I visited Kumasi. He bought me my first phone. Lumba is one of the big men I dated with a good heart. I knew he was married, but I still dated him because I was young and curious,” she recounted.
Speaking on why their relationship ended, Mary Amponsah revealed that Daddy Lumba’s wife, Akosua Serwaa, found out about their affair. Moreover, the mother of two added that besides Daddy Lumba, she dated some ‘big men,’ including politicians in Ghana.
“I went to his house during his mother’s funeral, and someone told her about me. She slapped me twice and gave me a good beating. She was right to do that. I stopped seeing Lumba after that incident. One thing I’ll never do is snatch someone’s husband. I’ll have an affair with him, but I can never snatch him from his wife,” Mary added.
