Ghanaian men in the UK are not serious, one told me he’d never date me because I was born here – British-Ghanaian reveals

British-Ghanaian Afia stated that the majority of Ghanaian men living in the UK are not serious about relationships and marriages and do not prefer to date Ghanaian ladies born in the UK. 

In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Afia indicated that many Ghanaian men in the UK have no plans of getting married but want kids. According to her, some of these men are “babied by their mothers, even in their 40s. They are practically married to their mothers.”

“What would such a person need marriage for? They’re not going to be serious about marriage. Most of them just want kids. It’s just ridiculous. That’s why I’m single because I want to get married before kids for them to have both parents around. 

Some also look at your lifestyle and avoid me because they can’t take care of me, but I have my own money. I don’t need a man to take care of me.”

Afia recounted how a Ghanaian man who showed interest in him insulted Ghanaian ladies born in the UK, slut shaming and calling them aimless. 

“He didn’t know I was born here and said he’d never date me if I was born in the UK. He said some of us are aimless, and many return to Ghana to have sex with Ghanaian men. But some ladies from Ghana are just like that. There’s no difference.”
